- Cake sale fund-raiser-25/10/02 we managed to raise over
£70 just from selling little cakes/biscuits so for our first Green-Peas
action it was a huge success! Just goes to show how the appetite of students
and teachers can always be relied upon- thank you all for the generous
contributions. And a big thank you to the canteen ladies for putting up with us
for the day...The funds we raised have gone towards recycling bins, Green-Peas
t-shirts etc.
- Recycling points set up- this is an on-going project and
makes up the bulk of our work. So far we have four can/plastic bottle bins and
numerous paper boxes. The amount now being recycled that would have been
landfill food is very satisfying! Needless to say, the sifting through of
peoples mouldy lunch leftovers is not so well received [PLEASE STOP WITH
THE RUBBISH WHOEVER IT IS!].
- The Film- the Green-Peas promo that one day will
materialise! So far we have several clips filmed and a little animation done
too (thanks to our star, Superpea). Just the editing to go phew...
- Green-Peas T-shirts-wow- what more can I say, WE HAVE
T-SHIRTS! If anyone actually wants one of their own, feel free to get in touch
and I'm sure we can come to some sort of arrangement...
- Binswood Open Evening- 27/02/03 Green-Peas presented a
pretty damn good stall at the annual open evening (for current Yr 11's). With
info on our group and the environment, recycling promotions, a mini cake sale
(almost £20 wooo!), our promo film, the website and us in our funky
T-Shirts how could they resist!? Thanks to those of you who came to help and we
hope that all of you Yr 11's who showed an interest will carry on the legacy
for us...
